Vince Vaughn Closes On The Sale Of The Remaining 1/3 Of His Palmolive Condo

A couple of weeks ago I posted on the sale of the top 2 floors of Vince Vaughn’s condo in the Palmolive Building for $8 MM. 9 days later he closed on the bottom floor for $4.1 MM vs. the list price of $4.2 MM.
This concludes what has been a 5 year ordeal for poor Vince. Based on the listing history on this property I’m guessing he put in around $25 MM to acquire and build out the tri-level condo on the 35th – 37th floors only to recover about half of that in the end. He might as well have just given me the $12 MM or so that he lost and I would have been his best friend for life.
Both transactions had the same listing agent but they had different buyer’s agents despite going under contract on the same day. The buyers must have been sitting on the sidelines waiting for the condo to be split up.
With this sale Vince, who grew up in Lake Forest, has severed his last ties to the area. He also sold a River North condo last year for $1.4 MM.
