Sheridan Park (Uptown) Multi-Unit Open House Event This Sunday

As of this writing there are almost 100 2+ bedroom condos for sale in Uptown’s Sheridan Park neighborhood. And that’s a ton of homes on the market for an area of approximately 16 square blocks, given the buyer activity we’ve seen since the tax credit expired. Consequently, many of these condos are priced very aggressively – 2 bedrooms start at $165,000 while 3 bedrooms start as low as $210,000. But in this market low prices just aren’t good enough to get buyers off the sidelines.

So, in response to market conditions, a number of realtors (OK, I’m one of them) are coordinating open houses this Sunday from 1:00 – 3:00 in an effort to get the attention of potential buyers. In total, 16 different condos are already slated to be open Sunday afternoon – the thinking being that with that many different homes open it would make it worthwhile for potential buyers to check out this tree-lined neighborhood.
