Well, it’s not really any surprise is it? About this time every year I check to see how many real estate agents are left in Chicago and since I’ve only been doing this since the real estate market has been in the dumps I’ve seen a pretty steady decline in that number. From last February through March of this year another 7.4% have left the Chicago market according to the roster available from the Chicago Association of Realtors. With dollar volume down 9.5% in that same time period this number makes perfect sense.
I think most people would agree that the world is better off with fewer real estate agents.
