They Really Did Build Affordable Homes On Chicago's Magnificent Mile

Almost 3 weeks ago I posted on Chicagoland Habitat For Humanity’s Raise Your Hand Chicagoland event where they were going to build 13 affordable homes on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile – Pioneer Plaza to be exact. That event was this past weekend from Thursday through Sunday and, although I couldn’t stop by, I did drive by and sure enough they were working on the model home and had a number of booths set up. And as I pointed out last time these homes obviously are not staying on Michigan Avenue. They are destined for a number of communities in the greater metro area.

It looks like some corporate sponsor executives were there from BMO Harris and Lowes along with Mayor Emanuel and Attorney General Lisa Madigan.
