Oak Brook has its own school district, District 53, which includes Brook Forest Elementary School (grades K-5) and Butler Junior High School (grades 6–8). Students that live within the district attend Hinsdale Central High School, district 86. The Midwest Club was originally built in the 1980's and many homes have gone through gut rehabs or complete tear down.  As of early 2012, homes in the Midwest Club subdivision of Oak Brook were selling at steep discounts.
