Dont' Think You Need A Buyer's Agent?

Today, with the availability of the Internet, many buyers think they don't need a buyer's agent. If you can answer yes to all of the following questions then maybe you don't need an agent:

• You have plenty of free time to spend on the Internet looking at homes
• You have access to an Internet search engine that allows you to specify details such as proximity to public transportation, street boundaries, communities, precise price limits, parking arrangements, monthly assessments, etc...
• You have plenty of free time to look at different homes in order to learn about the market
• You know how to conduct yourself when visiting a home to maximize your negotiating position
• You are a totally rational person who won't get emotional when negotiating the single largest purchase of your life
• You have access to plenty of market data and you know which data to bring to bear in discussions with the seller's agent and you are convinced that you won't overpay
• You are intimately familiar with all of your rights under Illinois law regarding the purchase of a home
• You have been through the home purchase process in Illinois several times before so that you are intimately familiar with the entire process
• You somehow think that you can save more money than Lucid Realty will rebate you
